About Us
Weemala Performance Horses is owned & operated by Isabel Widdison and Sandi Frolich. We are located south of Canberra near the township of Michelago. Both Sandi & Isabel have been involved in horses their whole lives. Along with the horses Weemala has resident Kelpies; Max, Penny and Jackson who travel to events as often as possible.
About Isabel
Isabel grew up in western NSW. Starting out like most kids with a Shetland pony and then winning as 3yo Australian Stud Book pony in a story competition at the age of 12 cemented the love of horses from a young age. Isabel was breeding and training her own home bred horses from the age of 15. She worked on a TB stud breaking & training racehorses in her teenage years. Isabel's has absorbed and adopted the riding & training methods of a wide and varied list of trainers including Jimmy Wilton and Pat Parrelli.
About Sandi
Sandi grew up in the Snowy Mountains and enjoyed all the mountains had to offer, skiing in winter and horse riding in Summer. Sandi soon gave up skiing in Winter to focus on her horses. Her 12 birthday present was a 16.2hh TBx gelding who grew and cemented Sandi's love of performance disciplines in particular showjumping in her younger years. Having not competed for over 15 years, the competitive bug has been reignited over the past couple of years and the dream of breeding performance horses with Morgan blood was born.
